About
On behalf of the promoter we forward the following message: The Weeknd unfortunately has to cancel his tour planned for 2022 without replacement, there will be no make-up dates. This also affects the show on November 2, 2022 at the Hallenstadion Zurich.
At this year's Super Bowl, the artist had the honor of performing at the halftime show. The Weeknd is considered one of the most important representatives of Post Modern R&B, having grown up listening to the music of Michael Jackson, Prince and R. Kelly. After that came Portishead, Massive Attack Aaliyah and Talkin Heads. The various influences are reflected in the music of the musician. With exciting samplings, his falsetto voice and emotional lyrics The Weeknd hits the nerve of the time.
With "Kiss Land" The Weeknd released his debut album in 2013. After that, he was on stage supporting Florence and The Machine, Justin Timberlake and Drake. His second album, "Beauty Behind The Madness," was released in 2014, featuring collaborations with well-known artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey and Labrinth. The single "Can't Feel My Face" became a successful hit. Thus, The Weeknd established himself as a force in the R&B genre.
With "Starboy", his most successful album to date was released in 2016. Four years later, the cult album "After Hours" followed with the mega hit "Blinding Lights". On February 5, his current album "The Highlights" was released with 18 hits from his run 10-year career.
